Qualifications & Position Descriptions
President
The President of Foundation Progressive Sabbath Advent Ministries (FPSAM), Inc. must preside at all meetings and assign a substitute when unable to attend. The President must head the planning of calendar events, prepare agendas for meetings, ensure that meetings are conducted effectively,
appoint all special committees, bring pertinent issues to the attention of the Board, and remain ever informed on the work of the organization.
Treasurer
The treasurer serves as financial officer of Foundation Progressive Sabbath Advent Ministries (FPSAM), Inc. and is responsible for filing all federal, state, and local tax forms, giving weekly fiscal updates to the Board, and paying all bills, invoices, and charges. The Treasurer performs or oversees all of the financial recordkeeping functions, prepares financial reports for the Board, and provides appropriate financial information to organizational members. The Treasurer may invest and borrow funds with Board approval and contributes to the preparation of the annual church budget.
Secretary
The Secretary orders and maintains adequate supplies and equipment for all Foundation Progressive Sabbath Advent Ministries (FPSAM), Inc. departments, which includes the purchasing or renewing and installing of software. The Secretary composes and updates the event calendar and meeting roster, in addition to scheduling use of building dates/times by community/outside groups. The Secretary picks up, distributes and distributes all mail and correspondence, maintains the FPSAM database, records membership changes, takes meeting minutes, prepares annual reports and other informational documents, keeps email lists current, and engages in various clerical duties as needed.
