Qualifications & Position Descriptions
Finance Director
The Finance Director is responsible for maximizing the return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems. This position ensures legal and regulatory compliance for all accounting and financial reporting functions. The Finance Director oversees cost and general accounting, accounts receivable/collection, payroll, and risk management. With appropriate consent from the Executive Board, the Finance Director will contract professional grant writers to obtain funds for services, such as After School, Parenting Workshops, Cooking Classes, and Summer Camp for FPSAM Inc., its affiliates, and others in the general community.
Volunteer Coordinator (Human Resources)
The Volunteer Coordinator interviews, supervises, and offers guidance, training, and consultation for all volunteers regarding functions within Foundation Progressive Sabbath Advent Ministries (FPSAM), Inc. toward meeting the needs of said organization.
Communications and Marketing Director (Public Relations)
The Communications and Marketing Director is responsible for the development and implementation of all external and internal Foundation Progressive Sabbath Advent Ministries (FPSAM), Inc. marketing, communications, and public relations activities toward articulating the organization's vision, mission, image and position within the congregation and broader community via various methods.
The Communications and Marketing Director is accountable for the achievement of marketing/communications/public relations mission, goals and financial objectives set by FPSAM Inc. The Communications and Marketing Director must ensure that assessments are in place to relate said goals and objectives and report progress to the Executive Director and Board. Formation of short- and long-term plans and budgets for marketing/communications/ public relations programs and activities also fall under the purview of the Communications and Marketing Director.
Information Systems Coordinator
The Informational System Coordinator must facilitate the communicative processes within and across departments by instituting a mechanism for (1) regulating policies and procedures concerning correspondence, memos and the handling of data, (2) appointing priority levels regarding the confidentiality of data, and (3) identifying inappropriate use of information systems assigned to Foundation Progressive Sabbath Advent Ministries (FPSAM), Inc.
The Informational System Coordinator also recommends automation software, analyzes, troubleshoots and manages server operation and network infrastructures, and trains persons in software applications that are critical to communications functions, such as memos, email, and word processing, presentation, spreadsheet, and database applications.
Director of Activities
The Director of Activities is responsible for supervising and affording professional support to all departments providing various activities to the FPSAM, Inc. family and the community at large. The Director of Activities will ensure that organizational departments do not lose sight of their goals (e.g., identity with and support the poor and needy).
Executive Director (CEO & Chairperson)
The Executive Director is a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) or managing director of Foundation Progressive Sabbath Advent Ministries (FPSAM), Inc. charged with creating, sharing, and facilitating the organization's vision, mission, and overall direction. The Executive Director will manage and evaluate the work of all other executive leaders, oversee the complete operation of FPSAM, and elicit advice and collaboration from Board members regarding strategies needed to make the organization's mission a reality. The Executive Director also holds all organization members responsible and accountable for their actions by ensuring FPSAM affiliates experience appropriate consequences whether through reward, recognition, performance coaching, or disciplinary measures.
Spiritual Counselor
The Foundation Progressive Sabbath Advent Ministries (FPSAM), Inc. Spiritual Counselor is a Bible believing Christ-tian wholly dedicated to the spiritual maturity of FPSAM members. This person is one who undertakes the role and responsibility for the spiritual growth, development and life of the Board. The Spiritual Counselor to Executive Board must plan and execute special prayers, days of fasting, recollection, retreats, etc. to help Board members become more attuned to the promptings of the Holy Spirit and reach a deeper faith awareness of and walk with Jesus Christ. The Spiritual Counsel will also serve as an impartial mediator to help resolve conflict and foster sincere amicability, humility, and harmony within the organization's core membership.
